Driving between Qatar and Saudi

Hi,

I'm planning on a trip to Doha in August to attend a few interviews. After that, I need to rent a car to drive over the border to Saudi to see an expat friend who works there at the moment.

Problem I've got is that so many car rental places do not allow cross-border rentals. Have called around a few places like Al-Mufhtah, Sixt etc with no luck. I know I could fly to Saudi but the flights are really expensive at the moment and I actually prefer driving anyway.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can rent a car to drive from Doha into Saudi and back again in the sapce of 4 days? I have a full UK drivers licence.

Thanks in advance!

If you can produce somebody as guaranteer, hopefully they will agree. Try to ask some qatar resident friend and let him talk to the car rental company.

I think you have to try renting a car from an international egent like hurtz, avis etc., but from UK not from doha ..... exp: rent a car from an office on UK a car at doha to travel to sudia arabia and you have to get a two way visa to saudia arabia this way you can get one or try hurtz or avis qatar office web site.good luck
