i'm planning to get a dsl plan from qtel for my online game but i don't know what package would i get..

Go for 1MB or more. There are two speed factors for any ADSL line which is the upload link speed and download link speed. While Qtel offers different download link speed the upload speedlink is same for all of them which is 128kbps. This makes a lot of difference to some applications which use both uploadlink and download link.
