Estimate Cash for Air Tickets Paid by QP?
By xpatadventure •
Hello!
Some QL blog indicates that QP uses IATA rates for air ticket cash payment. I hope to get some clarifications please.
* Where can I search for IATA rates online?
* Destinations: Doha - California. Perhaps you can help to get an idea!
* So if you join QP in the middle of the year, will you entitled the ticket allowance of that year? Or you have to wait until Jan/Feb the following year? If yes, then how do they prorate it?
Thanks
what Q company?
they are paying good amount, friend of mine working with one of Q company just recieved for this year, he is entitled to economy class but they payed him more than First class airfare, better check with HR.
QP tickets are based on market rate not IATA rate...agree with them, ask QP's HR dept. :)
Why don't you ask QP ?
Only QP HR department will know (especially the person working in the travel section) and nobody will tell you until you find out when the amount is paid out....
There is no unique IATA tariff, it depends on high-low season. You might get a range but that is it. My experience is that these amounts are generally 30-40% above an average economy class ticket you find on Qatar Airways website.
as well as other Q related companies pay based on IATA tariff. Nevertheless check with HR and confirm.
IATA rates are not available online for public consultation (unless you have a friend in a travel agency or similar).
Prorate is what I got when I was employed here (Not by QP) and I entered in May. Once again this would be a good question for HR.
Regards!!
1. QP does not pay IATA rates.
2. Amount paid every year is different. I'm not sure how it is calculated but it is enough to buy a ticket to your destination.
3. I think if you work more than three months then you will get some money for ticket but it will be pro rated for the duration of your service e.g for six months, you will get half the ticket amount. It is still better to confirm with HR.
How much is QP willing to pay out as the cash price for the tickets?
