Hi Guys,
Im from Poland, I got job opportunity in Doha ( for a year), and I have to make my final decision ASAP.The thing is that I have no real idea about this country:)Apart from the things I can read in internet etc.I would be grateful if u could answer me some basic questions I have:) So:
1. Is it worth moving there/ do u enjoy living in Qatar or regret u moved there?
2. Is it very strict country ? I mean eg.attitude to women, can I dress the same way i do it in Europe, or decent-dress code there is really wanted ( eg. no naked arms, skirts erc.)
3. Is Doha multi-culti city? Are there many europeans staying there ( not only tourists)
4. How about night life ?
Thanks in advance:)

Mir2890 hey guy just open your mind and be positive, Qatar it's not bad like that, I have been here almost 4 years, Monika, no regret for me come to working here, I'm enjoy the most every minutes here :) It's worth to living here, you'll get to know a lot of people here from various country.

For me It's not strict much country like Saudi Arabia, you can wear whatever you want but on Ramadan you should be aware about dress code, respect for cultural.

Doha is multi Cultural, A lot of European as well, so you can feel free about this

well night life here is not bad, you can attend party here from 5 star hotel, such as Intercontinental Hotel, Sheraton, Marriot etc

anyway, Welcome to Qatar

I would recommend you stay back in poland. Qatar is not a country for people who like outing, freedom and entertainment. its a very conservative and backward country. unless you want only money, i would advise to stay back.....

Doha is at its best ,business opportunities ,jobs, night life pleasure and entertainment.Do as you like but remember that dress codes varies and depends specially in public places and in individual or group gatherings.Hope you got my point.

1.- Yes It was worth for me to move here. And I do not regret taking that decision

2. Some have an attitude and some don't. On the dress code I would suggest comforable clothing since here it's summer and temps go up to 45-50. But a side note would be make it comfortable but not disrespectful to the culture/customs from the country.

I have seen ladies here in "naked" arms (or part of them) and medium to long skirts. (The other ones can be worn upong going out to party; but still discretion is advised :-)

3. Doha is so multicultural that you have people from almost everywhere in the world: Asia, Australia, Aurope, Latin America, Central America, USA, Canada, etc.....and yes there are Europeans here too

4. Some "clubs" in some of the hotels are the only variety here for going out to party; and music varies from place to place. And in the end people tend to get together and party with "similars" as a way to enjoy the same "taste for music"

Hope this one helps you and if you need some more info just let me know

Regards!!
