I am 5 days old in the city and have found a villa that is within my budget. But the place is bare - is there any place where I can hire furniture from?
Thanks mz4ever and niceguy. My family shall join me 3 months later and till then I need to furnish this place at least one bedroom and the basics. I had been to the used furniture souk yesterday and found decent stuff quite cheap. I am yet to assess the cost of new furniture - if it works out, I will buy some stuff - but this will only duplicate what I will shift later from home.
Hiring furniture is not normal and I've never seen any adverts for such a service here or in the UK. 2nd hand stuff can be bought at the 2nd hand souq (see Marhaba). Or you could check supermarket notice boards for leaving sales and the like. Basic stuff in Lulu, Carrefour, Home Centre etc is pretty cheap.
hi there....why do you wish to hire furnitures? are you on a short stay? i dont know about the hiring part but you could check out the classifieds for second hand furnitures, that is if you dont wish to buy brand new ones. Hope you are enjoying doha.
