Moving soon to Doha from the US. Question about TV standards there. Does Qatar use PAL or NTSC format? Additionally, is HDTV a totally independent format regardless of PAL and NTSC? I hate to leave my HDTV here and dump more dollars into a whole new TV system.

I found my HDTV was independent of PAL or NTSC when I tested it yesterday, but the best would be to check the manufacturers website to make sure.
