how to bring my car from dubai to doha and -land trip ?

el salamu 3alikum .. much of my friend ask me that after my venture !!

my friend if you want to drive your car from dubai to here doha , first you have to pay all your fines there , then go to TASJEEl or FAHES i think this dept for car registeration there , and take export plate , you will do simple inspection , then will give you this plate of _dubai export_this valid up to 2 weeks i remember , you have to go out of UAE within this time other wise there is extra fine on the board , your documents ready then say "allah"and drive to al-ghuaifat UAE , KSA board . when you reach there you will find offices on the board to do the custom clearence , you have to pay them around 200 ,300 AED to finalize the process normally take one hour , then drive and pass to KSA when you reach KSA your passport first supposed to be engaged with KSA visa valid up to one month , you can take the visa from saudi embassy in dubai , you can apply this visa through officeses in naif area in dubai all offices of transportation do that _ it cost you around 120 riyal and 30 for the office around 150 AED . any way you are now in ksa after finishing the passport entrance you have to insure your car for transport passing there is office for that on the board , you pay them around 140 SAR -  they accept GCC currencies , then you register your car also on the board and drive through KSA around 1:30 hour to be on salwa board , by the way the time in UAE 4 to 5 hours driving speed 120 km , ksa around 1 hour you can drive 160-180 km no problem since no radar on your way in ksa , when you reach salwa you have to finalize the car it is simple and speed but be sure not to reach after 11 pm no staff waiting you there you have to sleep full night waiting the staff of custom to next day morning 7 am . any way when you finish from KSA you are now on the salwa , processing of custom easy in salwa there is offices to do all that for you , just give them 100 QR they will serve you perfectly , and you have to pay there for custom evaluation . what i know if the car new and not used no custom payment for that but if it is used up to 5 years only there is 5% from the value estimated of the car ,there is staff for this evalution on the board . then pay only through banks card and stamp your passport and welcome to qatar . if you want to finish from all that story there is offices in dubai will do all that and give you your car at salwa . you can find them in gulf news or net search . hope this enough to give you map of the road , notice in case you have resident visa here in doha every thing will be easy you can register the car on salwa and insure it for one year , third party mandatory it cost 400 QR plus 30 for the office , i mean you can finish every thing on the board , in case you are cancelled from UAE and you employment visa to qatar just paper , you have to insure your car for two weeks on the board and will write in your passport in arabic you have to check with emigration dept within two weeks , so in this time you can finish the process of the resident visa and register your car , about the license you can drive in qatar by dubai license once you have you RP you can change it to qatar license directly just payment 200 QR and eyes check up , all that you can do it in madinat khalifa , traffic dept . notice dubai license valid to 10 years but in qatar only 5 years . hope it is enough now to you ..
