Lol @ 24.5% keralite
Yes you can find Indians everywhere in Qatar but if you consider the % as 25 which I am not sure - out of these 25 % almost 24.5% are Keralites.
Cost of food is not the same like in other GCC countries specially if you compare with Dubai. In Dubai, there are more options apart from Keralite food like you will find many Indian restaurants serving North Indian food as well along with Recipes from other parts of India.
MY FRIEND
Indians constitute 25% of Qatar population(almost 600,000) and you can find Indians every where in Qatar. Lot of Indian Restaurants especially keralite available and cost of daily essentials almost same if you compare the other GCC countries
Life in Doha depends on your lifestyle. What type of lifestyle are you looking for?
Accommodation is costlier here & lesser compared to the population especially in Doha city. Other remote areas its cheaper but its like staying in a house surrounded by nothing. Food in hotels is costlier & not worthy instead cooking at home is better.
My favorite places here are Corniche & sea side garden of Doha Museum where I spend most of my leisure time since I stay in Doha City near Corniche. Again, in winter its good but not recommended to visit during peak summer season which lasts for almost 4-5 months.
Commutation is a big time issue here since very few taxis are available & only in some places. Most of the taxi do not charge as per the meter instead ask for a lump sum fare.
Entertainment options are very few.
It's worth coming here if the salary is high enough along with other amenities like free family visa & housing from the employer.
Let me know if you need any more specific information.
Doha is safer than India
