Honestly, One of the worst schools i have ever seen not just in Doha, but world wide. Not a learner place, but rather a place for kids to kill time. It looks organized, but kids learn nothing usefull at that school.

The international school of london is one of most expensive schools in Doha and yet the worst by far. Everyone i know attending the international school of London in Doha is about to leave the school.

Poor education and a total waste our kids time to send them to this school. Stay away of this school and try other ones. Such as Global, Doha College, DESS.

We and our friends had a terrible experience in regards to learning. Some of us managed to send the kids to other school and some are looking for places for their kids.

... Jamon, did you learn your english at ISL? If you did, I feel sorry for you. Ah and another thing - try to make sure you have your spell check on before you correct others and their language :)

Have a lovely day! :)))

Us! you mean, you use many user name here?

they are the one who's tracking you not me! you're very funny. it will take time when they get to you, trust me while you are here they will know about it, but if you disappear for quite a while that shows you are avoiding them. lol!

What's up mates? Long time no hear...Are you still concentrating on tracking us down or have you decided to re-direct yor energy on what really matters, i.e. the children's education!

We'll be here if you'll have further questions.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

CID ?? tracking IP's ?? why do you think this person is in Qatar. Internet doesn't have borders.

By tallg• 30 May 2009 18:18
tallg

Well that's what happens in an online forum - people present their views, and both sides are normally biased, as is clearly the case here.

By jamon• 30 May 2009 17:49
jamon

whatever his/her reason she should confront these people rather than spreading malicious rumours. he/she must have crossed these people and not telling us the story behind it, if not? why is he/she too obsess of this school?

By tallg• 30 May 2009 17:31

I wouldn't class Pike as a troll. A troll posts things purely to illicit a response from others (google for the definition), whereas there is obviously some background to what Pike is posting (be it true or not) and they are posting sincerely.

By jamon• 30 May 2009 16:57
jamon

Okay fine!. I shall inform the owner of the school tomorrow and we'll see. I hope you are prepared my dear.

And yes! you are spreading malicious gossip. lol!

Ethical? no way! you are unethical! another lol!

exposing what? yourself? another lol! and you are a troll because if you are not! you will use your real name if you ever have the guts. otherwise, you are a coward to face these people yourself. why hide your b!tchiness here? why are you so obsess of this school if you don't work and haven't been working with them. See you when they get you. Bye for now. I shall look forward to see you if and when.

Get it into your head:

Malicious / bitchy - we are not!

Ethical - we are!

The aim - we already explained, read it!

Pay - we get none!

Spreading gossip - we do not!

Exposing important facts - we do!

Trolls - we know none!

Now get lost or dip your pitta into a good hummus, it will cheer you up!

No Jamon, we are not a HE who may have been allegedlly dismissed from the school due to an alleged inappropriate conduct.

No Jamon we are not a HE who may allegedlly have a local boyfriend.

No Jamon, we are not /will not be employees of that family.

No Jamon we did not loose jobs in the Middle East.

You're claiming WE? so how many are you? I mean how many personality do you have? are you one of a kind, so called TROLL in this forum! So what is your aim to be so malicious about this school? Do you get the satisfaction? Does anyone pay you? or it's just your nature to be B!TCHY or you enjoy sphreading whatever GOSSIP you hear?

By jamon• 30 May 2009 09:59
jamon

let me guess why HE really hate this school. you must have really mind them kicking you off your job without finishing the end of the last term of this semester. but I also heard that you are terminated because you are behaving inappropriate in that school. I do hope your local boyfriend can protect you!

Freedom of speech? oh please don't be so naive it only happens outside Middle East. I just wonder! how long you've been in Middle East? and how many jobs have you lost?

By tallg• 30 May 2009 09:48

Yeah, they may be watching, but they aren't going to do jack about it. I don't think you have anything to worry about Pike.

By jamon• 30 May 2009 09:41

oh yes they do have their way and they are just keeping an eye on a site like this. so when people file a complaint they have to respond to that. just wait when this school take Pike seriously he'll/she'll be in seriuous trouble.

or have you simply been living too long in a dictatorial non-democratic environment? You must have forgotten about issues such as freedom of speech, whistle blowing, children's rights etc.

1) Firstly Amigo, we are not computer abusers but rather whistle blowers who care about children and justice in Education

2) We also do not spread malicious rumors, degrade, generalise or bad mouth anyone. We so far exposed specific facts about specific issues, sorry if you cannot handle them. We are not sure where you got the idea of a reputable school from.

3) The purpose is amongst other things to blow the whistle on issues that need to be exposed in education and to ensure that children's needs are being prioritised above business considerations.

4) We have no idea who the CID is but we fear no one as we tell the truth. So if the CID cares about the truth, then they should have no issues with the content of our responses. Besides what is it that you are visualising for us Jamon and why are you obsessed with finding out our IP address? Surely you do not hope for some authoritative figures in heavy boots to knock on our door after midnight and take or computer away?!

5) We liked some of snowyowl's comments as it is usually correct to state that schools are as good as their teachers. The examples given were a good indication that her children have been fortunate to have good teachers.

Though lets hope this will last for them as we still believe that this kind of non-educators family ownership, their profitable business considerations, the lack of a Supervisory Board and their attitudes and prejudice will sooner or later (if not already) badly affect those teachers' efforts & retention.

We are not complaining snowyowl's, we are just telling the truth.

6) ESL so are you a student there? Glad to read you feel getting good education is important, we agree! Please find ways to assist the newly appointed Principal to last longer than the first one did.

From my experience, a school is as good as its teachers. And my children have been to a few here and it wasn't until they were at ISL that we got a reading assessment done (my daughter was assessed at 4 years older) and then appropiate work assigned. She was given extra homework to match her level that was followed up in class and her teacher regularly have asked us (both parents) to come in to discuss what would have been dismissed at other schools here, ie her not handing in completed homework.

Complain away Pike....my daughter and son are receiving the education most suitable to them in my years in Doha!

smile lots laugh more

I just thought to degrade a new established reputable school and to generalized everyone who works there is unnecessary. whatever his/her purposed in this he/she should give up. School is where we educate our children and for this person, to talk this way is unacceptable. This reflexs to everyone who works there not just the person he/she is bad mouthing about.

this is how to deal with this person Pike. print all of this comments as an evidence then take it to CID near the equesterian. the CID there are dealing with all the complaints regarding computer user abusers like Pike. then they can check his/her ISP. then voila! you know who is this person spreading this malicious rumors. Take this seriously as he/she is degrading your school.

Sorry, it was in the list, just that they changed the requirement from 'Teacher Librarian' to Librarian. The name London might be for? who knows why? they are proudly announcing themselves as a IB curriculum school, whatever sells best I guess...

Pike - I totally agree with you!!! Jamon, everybody needs to learn a bit more about those so called teachers who are responsible for our children during school hours. Not just meet them at school. And anyway Jamon - Pike seems to have ALL the data about the school as proved in the long post.

you don't need to teach me anything about the internet, I know it all. I have MY opinion about the school and many of the teachers, and you have yours. So respect mine as I respect yours too. You might see what they want you to see, whatever it is, I don't know and I do not care. What I do know is I would not place my children in that school for MANY reasons. MY opinion!

By jamon• 16 May 2009 20:28

Most of the teachers I know in that school are well qualified and they are native English speakers who really care for the children.

I hope you two are aware that any accusation and allegation you say can be used against you and I hope you two are able to defend yourself. if this rumors reach the people you are accusing they can file a complaint to CID and they can track your computer IP address, wherever you are sending all this messages from. it is not imposible in this country. you are likely to lose your job or if you're married your husband's job. check it with CID department at Al Rayyan they are in fact keeping an eye on this board.

You must be one of the rejected applicant or fired in this school to talk against them. This school is perfectly good and my children are studying there. all the information you invented are rubbish. The reason some staff are leaving because they chose to sign a 1 year contract only, as most of them are new in Middle East. I have spoken to some staff that are leaving and this is one of the reason. others just decided to go home.

Visited the school... seemed pretty good but most of my son 'best and irreplaceable' friends are in his current school so we stay where we are. Thanks nevertheless! :-)

In the Gulf Times they say the school in North Duhail's only temporary and that there's a permanent place/address for the bigger school.

Do any of you know where this other/new permanent area/address will be?

Don't want to send kids to school in this Duhail area and after a year they change it to another area, for example Ain Khalid!
