Jumping on a red light

Is there a camera in the round about? I dont think there are cameras installed in the round abouts as the system in the rounds are different.

Crossing Red light is a killing mistake, hurry always makes worry. If you just pass the signal when it was yello no problem, fine will be implimented only if you cross when it is red. They are not only taking photo it is a movie camere records everything. Beware about new speeding cameara it will not flash it is installed on the top of the street lights.

I believe u r safe coz we often do that.By the way the penalty for jumping a red light is QR10000 upto 50000 or imprisonment upto a year or both.Didn't u check out the updated fines of traffic violation.So as they say better late than never!!!

I understand you have to cross the first white line when they are red already to be fined. If they are flashing green or orange then you are ok. You are definately going to see the flash in your mirrors if you have jumped these lights

Hey Dude, according to what u say.. U r safe. Cuz, u r wrong only if u cross ur signal line when it is RED... it does not matter how long it took for you to reach the other side and what was the signal showing when u reached the other side.

As a rule u r allowed to cross when it is blinking or in orange colour

tnx for your advices.. my problem is, this incident happened at around 3:30 pm, which is in the afternoon that's why it's hard for me to determine if the camera flashed at me and I'm not 100% sure that I crossed on a green light what I am really sure of is that I was in the middle when the light is blinking and I saw it turn red before I reached the lane.. I really appreciate your thoughts on this.. =) pls pray for me..

From my side you are safe,any how if they call you for fine ask them to check video,there you will find innocent as you said that you entered the line when its turning yellow thats means you are safe 100%.

Even if the radar flashed u will not be knowing it as according to you it was afternoon time.... bright flash you can only see if you were driving in the night time and not in a bright and sunny afternoon... you can check on the internet after 2-3 days on www.moi.gov.qa

If you didn't see the camera flashing, chances are you are safe. As far as I know, the camera is designed to catch those who start crossing after it turn red instead of those who do not complete the crossing.

But check the MOI website anyway to be sure.

nah, u were not caught.

I am sure bcoz if radar captures an image, it flashes so bright that u would either see the flash light on ur side mirrors or on the reverse mirror.

I Hope u wont get QR6000 penalty & be careful next time
