I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not the UK medical qualifications are recognised in qatar.
Also, how difficult is it for a junior doctor to get a permanent post or at least temporary placement i.e. locums in qatari hospitals? From a search on the HMC website, they only seem to need senior consultants. Is the situation any different in private hospitals in Qatar? Thanks.

All UK standards are accepted by HMC.You could get a good package and HMC wouldnt have to pay the overseas recruiting agents, but silly thing is that they seldom recruit locally, wonder why?

yes UK medical qualifications are recognised in qatar, if you got no chance at HMC you can apply to the private sector
