I'm sorry to bore the regs but to clear things up i spoke to head doctor in hospice today win told me straight the cancer does not respond to chemo or radio therapy and so therefore is incurable but is possible to live with for maybe ten years depending

Fawmy85- I have my sis diogonised witha stage1 breast cancer a month back. They removed the growth and she is undergoing cemo.My Mom in law was diogonised in 1982 and she is still healthy. so dont worry much and do the treatments, you will be fine.

I have been reading about the treatments and happend to come across something new and they claim becoming a wonder. Its calld Dentric Cell Therapy. India has just one centre which does this at Noida.

Denvax is the name, this targets the micrometastasis and destroys the disseminated cancer cells. thereby preventing its dvelopement slowing the spread and improving life expectancy.Spoke to one who is undergoing the same and he said, he stopped his cemo after one course and is doing Denvax. No side effects, and he is happy.

check the details and see whether it will be useful.

I'm very moved to hear of your illness. As the majority said above that you should definetly seek another opinion in case you aren't getting the correct treatment.

No one knows when their time is up SubhanAllah, nobody is of this life anyway, I hope while you actively fight this illness you pray to Allah almighty rightfully for help and mercy in this life and the next.

First of all get another opinion from outside Qatar. A good friend of mine had heart failure and HMC diagnosed it as swine flu! They left him in quarantine for four days before they realized that his family tested negative and looked further. This is probably the reason why so many Qataris go out of country for heath care and treatment.

Get a second opinion from some doctor outside Qatar, I wont put my life in the hands of the doctors here.

You can live for many years even after getting diagnosed with cancer, just don't lose hope. God bless.

I hope you don't take what the doctors say too much to heart in one sense-do all you can to stay healthy and active. My uncle was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer over 20 years ago. He was given months. I saw him last summer, and for a corpse, he seems to be getting along great, enjoyed the picnic, played with the grandkids and told his stupid "Angus" joke to a whole new generation. He is almost 80, and we figure old age may not even get him.

Doctors aren't always right, and you should at least get another opinion. Still, remember you don't have an expiration date, and live your life and be happy.

My best to you.

Sorry to hear the sad news. My cousin was diagnosed with cancer and lived for many years.

First thing to do is to get a second opinion and the next is a positive attitude.

Good luck. Face the beast head on.

I would kindly request you to take an opinion from doctors outside doha, preferably your own home country.

My experience of Doha doctors is appalling in such cases, they lack the ethics on how to present things to the patient and his/her relatives.

the only reason for which anybody should consult medical oncologists in qatar is just to complete chemotherapy referred by other experienced doctors outside this country.

One of my relatives passed away recently fighting cancer for 7 years... Well, with Chemotharapy, in its most general sense, refers to treatment of disease by chemicals that kill cells, both good and bad, but specifically those of micro-organisms or cancerous tumours. So in effect, you can not completely cure the disease but can prolong the life based on it's nature and age...

Most of all, don't give up hope and don't resign yourself to their final diagnoses. If you believe in God, concentrate on your faith. The power of prayer has been documented.
