Everyone will have their own views.
For me, as a 50yo gas engineer having lived all over the world, I've now been in Doha for 3 years and think it is the most BORING place on the globe.
Be careful of bureaucracy. Never, ever get a housing lease in your own name. If 'they' don't like you, you're gone despite your talent. And, you'll pay for it financially.

i must admit this place has its moments but having said that, i've actually enjoyed my time here.
however i'm actively looking for another job to get the fark out.
Its people around u who make a place boring or entertaining. Doha can boring cos of the company or lack of good company.

Pajju that time back for Rs 25,000 (Qr2,500 approx) you could have the whole pub except the drinks for yourself..... you could even kick out the stars.... decide who to let in .... etc....
Razzbery Rhinoceros was also the same price and had bigger & better floor so we decided on that... we also used to do Maddness at Khar...

I've liked each day of my life in DOHA(i've been here for last 5yrs)and would continue doing same..
Every individual has different likings..It's not necessary that two people should be having same thoughts and ideas..One may like DOHA and others may not..

is a Big Big Brothers House, there are a lot of camera's around just be careful not to be caught by one. You are In for One Season and if you are lucky you get home with big bucks if you are not voted out. Worst is you get kick back home. There are a lot of interesting things to do if you look for them and if you know how to socialize. But, then again its the end of the road.... hope you find what you are looking for.:)

WK is correct, we may not enjoy the place, but the company you keep makes even the most boring place interesting. doha aint like HOME but my friends made it home for me.

totally agree Doha is the most boring place on the planet, but as WK said above also depends on the company you keep, thankfully I've got some great friends here....now with the UAE calling with better salary packages and working conditions so might be outta here sooner rather than later...back to civalisation...YAY!!!
