Is my International Driving Permit recognized?

I am a Filipino and I have an International Driving Permit. Based on the list of contracting states, Qatar is included. can i drive here in Qatar using my International Driving Permit for the meantime that my company is still processing my driver's license?

I am Egyptian and my International Driving Licence allows driving legally here in Qatar for the first 3 months to the date of entry OR Finishing the Residency applications & receiving my ID, whichever sooner.

Thats confirmed by a police officer I know.

so, if you have already had your ID here in Qatar,. then you no longer can use your international Lisence

it is not my friend! u must take a test! check with the traffic dept..

YOu have to check with traffic dept that your country is in the list ... one month driving is permitted ...
