This is NOT purely marketing BUT more on advice. Obviously LCD's are NOW getting cheaper, i.e. less than QR1700 for 32". Here are the price estimates in sending LCD TV by SEA (Please DO NOT send more than 32"LCD by AIR, tax is to high, better buy from Phils.) Freight for LCD32: QR 620 to 750 to Manila, Visaya and Mindanao, including crating, insurance and door to door within in the city. It is safer to ship by SEA provided the TV is in the original packaging inside Pinoy made wooden crate. This crate will be loaded in the 40' container, would sail to Manila in an average of 26-31 days and would be opened only in Manila port for random inspection and offloaded in the freight forwarder warehouse in Manila. This means that TV at QR1700 plus freight of QR620 @ 46.50, your 32"LCD would only cost Php 29,500.00 delivered within Manila. Communicate with your family back home and enquire how much is the current price there, evaluate and decide at the earliest especially that Xmas and New Year is past approaching. Sea cargo must leave Doha before end of October to reach your home before New Year. Call you reliable CARGO office NOW! No tel. will be posted to be fair and square to all cargo service providers.

Sa form na ibibgay sa iyo during the flight, wag mong i declare dun.

Kabayan, if i were you i will send it via sea cargo. The charge and tax is only about QR 1000. Unlike if you will carry it or send via air freight, the charge with tax is about QR4000. Better inquire first from Makati Express or any other freight services to Manila before you purchase. Do not worry about sea freight because they are shipping LCD TV / monitors in crates so they are secure.

Just take it with you along your flight!!! Wont get damaged as it will be tag as "FRAGILE" item. That will be placed on electronis/appliances compartment. No need to worry in Manila Customs! Just tell them it is old one and besides you are OFW and not a businessman or seaman. I had my brand new last Decemeber that arrived with me safely and same time. No worries!!!

By the time you have packed it up, paid to ship it or accompany baggage - then taxes this end you may as well buy a new one here !!!

Personally I suggest that your TV NOT BE SENT via seafreight. It takes more than a month transit and by that time you will not be sure anymore of the condition of your cargo. Better send it by AIRfreight or bring with you when you get home. Keep the receipt with you as the customs will look for it for taxes, if ever.
