My Tip If Using Labourers to move your stuff

Having moved house several times in Qatar, we realise a lot of labourers do not speak or read good english, which is understandable so this tip makes things easier for everyone.

USE COLOUR CODED LABELS. Make them on the computer or get kids to colour white labels with highlighters. When they are dry, right over the top if you wish to be really specific.

Use yellow for kitchen, blue for lounge or whatever. Put the stickers in the same place on each box (e.g. top right). That way you can locate the sticker quickly, especially useful on larger boxes.

At the new house, stick a coloured A4 page on each room door. That way, hopefully you should find items have gone into the correct room. Even small kids can direct the labourers to the right room.

Arrow stickers could also help the boxes end up the right way up (but not necessarily)

I also used larger stickers for fragile/valuable items and we carried them ourselves.
