HI
I am sure this is typed alot, but we are moving to Qatar sometime this spring. We have two children , ages 6 and 1. I basically need to know great neighbourhoods to choose close to schools and shopping, and parks. Is there a way to join a group that has other ex pat families/mothers that can be of support to newcomers and so the children can play together? I am Canadian and my husband is French.
Thank you

Generally your employer provides housing and you don't have too much to say about the area. But if not, you are better off finding a place near your child's school.

Wakra town 10 KM from Doha on Messaied Road is the best place ti live. You may consider it small town, quite, enough parking, beach, many villa complexes for families with 24 hrs security, easy access to Cornich - Doha & sand dunes in Sea Line in Messaied , of course with our good nature we will able to find good people,,,Wel Come & Good Luck !!
