I just found out that the rules regarding Canadian driving license have changed and Canadian drivers are required to take the driving test. Can any one give me some more info.

Yes, with the new traffic rules everyone is allowed to take the test before acquiring Qatari license. You have 3 options :
- u can take direct test without the training
- u can take direct test & take refresher course for 5 hrs.
- u can take short course for 12 days then take the test after ur training.
