I have 4 months left on my passport & got into Qatar 2 weeks ago,

So hopefully, it shouldn't be too much of  problem.

I will have to nip into the British Embassy this week though!

With my experience last year I came back here to Doha last Nov 27 and my passport expires on March 2008 and I renew it here last February in our embassy I pay QR 100 just attached a copy of your passport (walang photocopier dun), 3 pcs passport size pics (white background) and you can get it on same day. But if you're going places like HongKong it should be at least 6 months because they are very strict that's why that time my wife is very, very, very angry with me because we missed going to Disneyland.  There are lot of changes in renewing passport at DFA Manila it will take time not only 10 days.  This only I can share hope it helps you and welcome aboard to Doha

alkhormom...your son travelled from doh-cdg-doh, is that right?

cyrus, the validity of the passport is being checked at the airport in manila. first, in the check in counter and second by the immigration authority. it must be at least 6 months valid. but maybe you can ask them to consider and allow you to go anyway you are a returning worker and there is an embassy here in Doha.

good luck!

No need to panic. My son s passport is expiring this May, yet he still used it to travel to France last March and returned to Qatar this April. Yes now, IT MUST BE RENEWED!

I gather you are a returning resident to Qatar so that should not pose a problem at entry.

there was a law that your passport should have minimum 6months validity.

you would be able to renew it in no time.

cheers

I think your passport should be 6 months valid before leaving the Philippines. Try to call concerned Gov't Agency and your airline for possibilities
