Hello Everyone:
If anyone shares the experience with Qatar Academy vs Al-Maha school? Which one is better in terms of academics? And how is their environment? Like if Al-maha is more conservative?

How is their academics standard compared to ASD or Doha college?

Thanks
Athar

Under no circumstances should you go to Al Maha Boys Academy. This is a serious warning to be taken seriously. It is not a school as such. Rather, a creche for hugely wealthy children whose parents a powerful and who will force you to do what they want.

No learning takes place and you will witness shocking racism, bullying, abuse and mal practice there. It is impossible to describe how bad the school is. There are a lot of good teachers there failing day in day out because of the landscape there. No progress has been made in years. 4 Principals in 5 years, scores of teachers fired year on year. One large step to the right. Women not tolerated. Polite suggestions not tolerated. Common sense rejected. Teachers are treated disgustingly. Boys and their parents create an atmosphere where you can't do your job. Abuse is rife. Teachers are on the edge and majorly regret coming. You can't quite believe how bad it is. Anybody who survives a year there deserves the OBE, CBE and Purple Heart! Its a misery factory. There are pockets of acceptable practice within the school, but largely, the place seems as if it designed to push teachers to the edge and beyond. I haven't even mentioned the boys behaviour and lack of English yet. Their behaviour has to be seen to be believed. Al Maha and Islamic environment. Its joking. what is the use of imparting trianing when the school itself does not have that kind of policy when dealing with students.

eg - a kids get kicked out of school due to late payment of fees

(even before the academic year starts) no warnings nothing. and they claim to inculcate values.

better be far away from them.

This is the best school in my opinion. The resources they have are fantastic. Also they have excellent teachers. And offer al kinds of subjects and after school activities. No school can compare with this.

Al Maha: Good Academics with Islamic environment, nice deicated teachers, small campus …. overall rating is Good

All it depends.... what you want you kid to be....

Dude I was a replacement teacher for couple of months at Al Maha. SO my advice stay away from Al Maha. Go for Qatar Academy or Doha College
