Quality Engineer no experience in Oil/Gas
Hello Canadians,
I would like a little advice on this area. I have 20+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer (manufacturing) and over 18 years as a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer. My experience in QA/QC area is in manufacturing, automitive and aircraft; however, the jobs posts I have found require experience in oil/gas.
In QA/QC the proceedures for becoming a ISO certified are the same so a lead auditor don't need experience in a specific industry to implement the proceedures.
Does anyone from Canada works in the QA/QC field and can give me more information and tips on how to apply for a job? My family and I are looking forward to move from BC. My wife works with Search Engine Marketing and we have a 14 year old boy and 5 year old girl (both the kids are ok with moving).
Any advice is well appreciated.
