Quantity Surveyor Offer

Hi All

New to this forum and any Comments or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Currently working as a QS in Scotland and received an offer of 27,000 qr per month working as a PQS in Doha. As the construction industry currently has a bleak outlook for the forseable future I am seriously considering taking the offer and moving over for a couple of years. On the face of it the offer appears to be decent, however this would be inclusive of accommodation and any allowances. I have around 7 years experience and have been post RICS qualified for 2 years.

Ideally I would like to have a one bed flat in a decent area of town (any suggestions welcome).

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and any thoughts are most welcome.

Cheers

I would have to say that if you are RICS qualified, you should aim towards QR35-40,000 at least. QR 27,000 sounds a bit mean.

Out of 27,000, you'll be paying around 10,000 for Accomodation and Car.. on the top of that are the utilities and normal expenses of the family..

So, if u are an RICS, with 7 years overall exp. as QS, do not accept less than QR 35,000 per month..
