Recommendation for Serviced Appartments

Dear all,

I will be moving the whole family to Doha in a couple of months. Before we find a long term lease, could anyone out there kindly recommend serviced appartment accommodation in a Doha area that's not a 24/7 construction site and fairly convenient to get to the old downtown area (Souk Waqif). Choukran!

Hi Mike, there is a wide variation in prices here in Doha, it's very dependent on both the area and standard of accommodation you're looking for.

To give you an example, you will see 2 bed apts being advertised for QR4,500pm. However, these are not in the most desirable areas of Doha and are usually, not always, previously occupied apts that have come up for re -rent.

At the other end of the scale you have apts in 'West Bay' area, either in the 2 big developments 'The Pearl' and Lagoon Plaza known as 'Zig Zag' Towers, or in the rapidly expanding Central Business District along The Corniche. Prices in these areas start at around QR8,500 rising to QR20,000+ depending on the specific tower you are considering.

The average price for a good quality apt located within

central Doha is around QR6,000 to QR9,000.

I don't know where you'll be working once you arrive here, but this should be a major factor when deciding where to live as the traffic here can be horrendous.

We have a building in Najma area with just 18 apts, located very close to 'C' Ring rd, which is one of the major routes giving access to all of central Doha. It is a large 3 bed apt with fully fitted kitchen, centralized Air Conditioning, central satellite connection, secure allocated parking and 24hr on site security/maintenance. The apts are finished to a high standard and are priced at QR8,000pm negotiable.

The overriding comment we receive from people viewing this building is that the apts are the best they've seen in this price range.

Let me know if this is of interest or alternatively let me know your budget and work location and i'll give you some other options.

Kind regards

Craig at Mirage

Craig, I am interested in a 3 or 2 bedroom apartment for a family of three... but this is for long-term stay. What is the price range?
