Hi all, i am looking at moving to Qatart from Australia, presently in negiotions regarding the job. i am trying to do some research on the basics and am looking for what would an realistic monthly rental fee for a 3 bdr Villa. Appreciate any advice given...

There are many offers on the market especially in respect of villas. To give yourself an overview look at

www.gulf-times.qa "classifieds", you will see an overview of how much they are asking for appartments and villas. Also you will see a great number of estate agents who will be more than willing to help you, however,it will at least give you a general understanding of the prices.

Accommodation can be subject to a 10% rent hike per year according to the law but cannot be generalised. Also it may be of interest to make sure you have a maintenance contract to support you if you need any vital repairs in your home.

Compounds mostly have a swimming pool and a cafeteria and other ameneties for the residents there.

3 bedroom villa not in the compound minimum would be QR 15.000 and above.
