Well..what news I have that earlier the bank loan installments were starting after the building is atleast 30%occupied. however now the banks got permission from the central bank that they have can start the installments after three or six months of completion of building. so looks like they have to start giving the flats on rent..and they can't really wait for a big amount like earlier.
so this will also help a bit for rates to be reduced..
rest all options are written above.
all the best..im also waiting for them to come down lol...
Nobody can accuratey predict since the market is very volatile. However, I think that rents have more or less stablized. Can you expect a villa for say QR 6000 or 7000 presently they ar earound 9000-10000. I do not think this will cover even the loan against which villa was built. Also flats nowadays are available for about 6500 (3 bed).
Again as I said, it all depends on the situation fo teh owner and maket.
The downward trend will prevail...for instance there are compound villas in gharaffa going for QAR 8000/- monthly only..i have also spotted villas downtown Doha going for as low as QAR 10,000 as well, considering these were going for QAR 18,000-19,000 last year same time... ;)
Soon, these greedy real estate companies, that advertise frequently in the Gulf Times, will have to lease out their brand new empty-for-ages villas, apartments at further reduced rates.
Presently, with the abundance of housing units (and thousands more springing up), it's already a buyer's market.

Some rents will grow and some will fall. It depends if the landlord is greedy or friendly.
