Rental Ziz Zag

Hi I am moving to Doha in late Oct to take up a role at Aspire Zone.

I would like to rent a two or three bedroom fully furnished apartment in the Ziz Zag or the Pearl. What are these places like etc and what other areas should I consider.

It will be just myself and my wife no children.

Budget is up to 18,000 riyal a month and I want somewhere that has internet, cable, pool, gym etc.

Thanks

Several Villa compounds on there including the one 19K near aspire. I am SURE you could negotiate.

You would be practically on top of work and right next to the largest shopping mall in town.

Pearl and the rest are really good if you work in City centre but for you it would be a huge mistake !!

Sorry should have added this to my reply:

Area you want is Al Wabb

Use Wikimapia

To get your bearings, all the big compounds are noted.

Good luck

buddy, Aspire is way too far from Pearl. Will you really move up & down everyday even after paying 18k / month.

If you take my advice, 18K is a good budget & you can easily afford a awesome villa for that price near your work with probably more facilities than you have mentioned. I too live in one near Aspire.

Zig Zag towers are experiencing a few teething troubles.

For 18K I would rent a Villa on Al Wabb St. You would be VERY near work and there are some great Villa compounds.

check Beverly Hills 1,2,3,4 All close by.

I have friends Aussies and English in Al Faisalier compound that has excellent facilities.

To be honest working in Aspire you would feel like a total mug living in the Pearl or Zig Zag that area is a LONG way from Aspire. It may not look it on a map but believe me the traffic to between the two would be TERRIBLE in rush hour and you would very much regret living there.

Top tip in Qatar find accommodation NEAR YOUR WORK. Don't get tricked or bullshitted by estate agents "claiming" the traffic won't be that bad IT WILL !!!!

PM for further info.

Don't use an agent - if they respond at all(and most are extremely lazy and arrogant and do not bother to respond - including Engel und Voelkers), then all they want is the commission.

Better to find yourself - in QatarLiving or newspaper.

Yep easily can rent the zig zag for that price.. But why not rent one of the Compound villas with all facilities for that budget.. plenty of nice compound villas near the Aspire Zone..

As you is an Aussie.. So you can have plenty of barbies in the villas..:)
