Rentals theft
Hi Friends,
Our agent is refusing to pay us our upfront payments after the landlord cancelled his contract and asked us to deal directly with him(landlord).
He owes us ove 85,000 QR and is being dodgy. His cheque has so far bounced twice. Please advise way foward for us to get our money sooner cause we need to sign fresh agreement with landlord and make down payment.
Who should we talk to?

Don't just keep quite about this,file as soon as posssible your complain in the police. Keeping it longer, you might lost your money.I lost my QR 5,ooo from these hungry middle man. They really are theft and wants easy money.

take the whole case to the police station,or call 999.
sorry to hear about that but these things are very common now a days in doha contact the police first and file a ase get help from your landlord and please expose the agency from whom you got the place as they need to be brought out in limelight so somebody else doesnt get robbed the same way all te best and hope you get all your money back
never pay a rent to the agent ALWAYS pay to the landlord / property's owner. If you have to do that, make sure your agent is reputable and have a wellknown one. Not somebody unknown.
File a case with the consent of the owner, this is rampant now a days ,middleman without liscense is not allowed by the law.
