Repair of Number plate
I was involved in a minor accident and my number plate was damaged. I have been told to get three estimates, can anyone advise me where I can get these, I have been to various garges but they say they do not do number plates. I do not know areas in Doha very well.
While on the subject of the accident I would like to say how impressed I was with the politeness and understanding of the policemen at Madinat Khalifa, they really put me at my ease. Also the kindness of the gentleman who translated for me at the scene of the accident and gave me advise of what to do. Even the other party involved was so nice. Sorry to ramble on, it just gave me the feel good factor so I had to share it.

they will change your number plate in 15-30 minutes same day!

Number plate is a legal item & only issued by the police. It is issued in Madinat Khalifa traffic police dept. You have to go to the dept. office (where all the receipt is issued) & give your car registration no.(istimara). You will be asked whether you have a big plate or a small plate, as there are two sizes. After you pay the amount, you will be called after two or three days, where outside the compound there is a counter where the plate will be given ( when the receipt is produced) & there itself they fit it on your vehicle.
(2 years back each plate was costing QR 100/. Also you have to pay by credit cards only. No cash accepted)
