DOHA: Vodafone Qatar have assured customers they will be “switching on” their mobile network on March 1, but it is unclear whether the new phone operator will be able to offer its planned full menu of services to potential customers. “There will be services available,” Vodafone’s Director of Regulatory and External Relations Matthew Harrison-Harvey told The Peninsula yesterday. Reading between the lines, you're not going to be saving money with Vodaphone. Myabe they'll try and sell based on Customer Service
I've "set it up" via my phone, but nothing happens after that. I've even double-checked that it has been set up. I guess I need to call Qtel.
I had heard that Qtel does not have voicemail for mobiles, so maybe the packaging that came with my phone was intended for the future? Or for users in other countries?
Figures! I haven't set mine up yet, and I can't remember what number hubby said you're supposed to call to set it up. Was it 123??? Sorry, not sure. Maybe someone here knows?
I'll find out and let you know, if no one else posts it in the meantime.
thanks notfromhere -
The instruction book for my mobile tells walks you through the setup process and it *sounds* like it gets set up as I do it on the phone. . .but when someone calls it just rings and rings and rings. . .
Expat, Qtel offers voicemail. My hubby has it and I'm signing up for it any minute now. He says it's not very user friendly, though.
And why doesn't Qtel have it? Am I the only one who wonders why I can't get something that I've used in the U.S., Argentina & Australia for 12+ years?
