Taxes, medical insurance, car insurance

Hey all,
as far as I know there is no personal income tax in Qatar. Are there any other taxes you have to pay as a "normal expat" like a car tax or anything else?

Concerning the medical insurance, does it cover all you will need or is it important to have any additional (self-paid) insurance?

For car insurance, what are the costs for that?

Thank you for your help!!

Car insurance is about 4% of the value of the car, per year.

regarding healt insurance u will have to talk with the company ... car istimara is valid for a year

car insurance will depend on the value of your car

I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here

Than a whole truck load when I'm gone

Thank you t_, my company takes care about everything, so I am not sure which plan it is. Are you able to choose and what plans are there?

Is the car tax per month? And do you have an idea about the costs for comprehensive car insurance?

Thanx a lot!

We have car tax its called istimar (Road permit)its about Qr. 65/-

Then u need car insurance either comprehensive (full) or third party

Medical insurance differs as to what type of plan you have taken

HMC card fee for a year cost Qr. 100 drugs are charged very cheap like Qr 1 or 2

I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here

Than a whole truck load when I'm gone
