Situation is like this. I was right in the front row to go straight. The signal turned green for left turn. I thought it was for straight and just moved 10 feet. Then realized my mistake and reversed. In the mean time camera flashed. I did not have any intention of jumping the red signal, but this is exactly what happened. So if I explain this will I be excused?

You have to submit a written statement in Arabic. Go to the little shop across from the main entrance to the Traffic Dept at Madinat Khalifa, you can give your statement to one of the guys there whi will type it in Arabic.

Then submit it to the duty officer in the Traffic Dept and wait...and wait...and wait...then you can't renew your registration because there is a fine outstanding.

Be sure you are on solid ground.
