Uhh...receipts printed in A4

Earlier this afternoon I'm in a Qtel branch for an enquiry and this Korean guy (I know the sound of a Korean language when I hear one and it ain't Japanese or Chinese) bought his own sim for his mobile and was surprised he received an A4 printout paper saying "Cost Acknowledgement" after paying. The guy asked what this acknowledgement is. The customer service rep (sigh) says here's the money you paid and marked the price number with a pen. I knew they wouldn't understand each other from the start (sigh...I'm expecting that from the customer service rep) so I told the Korean guy "That's your receipt". He replied "Oh." with a little bend of his head sidewards.

Which brought me the idea that anyone who may have been new to Qatar will always get a misunderstanding as to why those receipts/invoices were printed in A4 paper like some Microsoft Word edit and printed out like a statistical identification form (and a weird titlehead too). I also got the same expression at the first few days of my work and now I'm used to it. Let's just say some of us were not used to this type of bill from the other side of the world and we thought it was like a contract or pact that we need to read and sign an agreement or something.

Heero that was very useful information? Especially for new Expats that just have landed in the Sand pit.. It is hard to get used to the weather let alone the A4 invoice sheet..

NO,I think they use A4 becouse its faster than dot matrix

befor its take more than 2 minutes. to print the invoice especially if there is alot of items.

but i think it waste of papers.

So to be an invoice, it has to be printed on a dot-matrix printer, in an odd size.

I don't think so.
