Hi,
I just got terminated from my company for almost 1 month already.Up to present they still did not give my termination paper. The problem is i have a personal loan and until now i didn't inform my bank regarding my termination because im waiting for the termination paper from my company before i talk to the bank.My question is can my company cancell my visa now even i still have pending loans?I'm afraid for the reason why they are delaying this is because they want to cancell my visa or RP before they inform the bank and if its already cancelled i can't go also because the bank will give me Travel ban in which i will be hold in the airport? Is it possible for the employer to cancell my visa or RP even i have pending personal loan?If they cancell it already and i have travel ban what will happen for me here?your advise need pls.

Do you know if you owe a bank in Qatar you can't leave the country without paying ? I had a a loan with Qatar Islamic Bank ,after terminating my contract and trying to travel back to UK ,i was stoped at the airpot that i have a ban ,after verifications it shows the ban was put in place by my Bank . I contacted and international abnesty councilor that assisted me to cancle my ban and i traveled sucessfully , I put this message so it can help other people who have ban issues , if you have ban issues like ,labour ban ,immigration ban you can contact them for assistance , you can reach her on this email [email protected]

write a brief details about your case when sending them a message .

hope it helps

Trust me... at least 50% of the expatriates in Qatar has a travel ban and have issues like yourself and even worse... the only thing you can do is the following :

The bank usually takes time to put a travel ban on you... so try to tell the bank that you're negotiating with the company for NOC and it's positive. (even if the company informs the bank)

2nd : once they cancel your visa... leave the country immediately (that's sound like running away but in fact it's not, it's just better than being imprisoned here with no NOC, then yo have to pay off all your debts or go to prison. Later on you can pay off your debt from your home country.

Human rights won't be able to help you much.

3rd Try to negotiate for an NOC, tell them your situation (maybe they will understand) and then search for another job.

Good luck on all cases...

Just an advice : be conservative and don't tell your bank that you will be terminated or your visa would be canceled... they won't involve emotions here...they will ban you, file a court case and jail you until you pay off your debts with interest!!!!

God give me strength to bear this mighty freedom...

The bank will apply for a travel ban for you at the airport immigration not unless you paid in full your loan. Or you must bring a guarrantor. If not you have to go to jail. Try asking for NOC first and if they refuse you can ask the help of Human Rights Commission office at Gharaffa.

alexam i got your point.First my company holds my passport as well as the exit permit. If they cancell my visa already what if the bank give me travel ban in which i can't travel?what will happen? My company knew that i have a loan in which i"m the only person got the approval fron Commercial bank by luck and the rest of my co workers disaaprove. When i ask them why the agent told me because your company is not on the commercial bank list and also the standard letter they are asking for can't provide by my company.there are some sentence missing.on the other hand if they will allow me to leave the country if will very much ok for me.I want to stay and pay my dues to the bank>the thing im afraid for is if they said to me that i can go and i will be hold in the airport because of the travel ban.

If they cancelled it already they will inform you to give you your passport and exit permit. You got one week to exit or else you will pay the fine for overstaying. Talk to your company politely and explain your situation so that they will give you NOC..

They can cancel your visa anytime. Your loan is your personal responsibility. You better talk to your company to give you NOC so you could find another job in order for you to pay your loan.

Do you have an insurance associated with your loan? If so, that insurance will cover you....
