Hi,

I will be moving from Calgary, Canada to Doha in about a week! Just wondering what the weather conditions are like in Doha throughout the year? Will I need to bring a fall jacket? Any help would be useful! Thanks in advance :)

Speaking as a fellow Canadian . . . it is unbearably hot from May through October, but reasonably pleasant the rest of the year. There are about two or three weeks out of the year you might wear a jacket outside. However, you are unlikely ever to be outside for any length of time, except to dine. The offices and shopping malls are kept very cold and this is where you are most likely to want a jacket. In fact, it is cooler in these places than in most Canadian homes in winter.

But then everybody's concept of comfort is different, so you might find weather.com's website useful. It will give you the forecast, average temperature by month and average rainfall.

Let me put it this way - its 10.30pm and still 35 degrees celcius with 60% humidity!!

It's still hot and will continue to be hot until the end of September. We normally get a couple of months a year (December/January/February) where you might need a jacket but other then that not really.

I'd bring a couple of really light sweaters/jackets just for inside the shopping malls & restaurants as the air conditiong can sometimes be really cold after being out in the heat.
