What to do with rental car dispute?

hello all and thank you for reading this post, i hope you can guide me.

Since our car rental agent does not keep his word in an verbal agreement i have a little dispute with him but im not gonna bother you with the details.

Fact is that a small accident resulted in a dent in the rear door of the car. At the time they said it would cost like 300 reals to fix, now they say its gonna cost 700 reals.

My questions are
- Since the paper rental agreement says "insuranse cover FULL" is there still a deductable which i have to pay?
-Whats a reasanoble price to fix a dent in the left back door which is like 3 centimeters wide 2 millimeteres high and 2 millimeters deep.

Thank you for your time.

Also please beware of this scam; you will get a missed call from a number starting with 923. When you call this number back its very expensive so DO NOT CALL

Don't trust the RENT A CAR and it is not good to negotiate with them for discount. Go to any garage with proper paper they will repair it for reasonabale price. I had similar experience from Petra Rent A Car. They told first it will cost less only and made a police report and submitted. But they charged in my creidt card QAR.2000/- and negotiated with them in a good manner many times and even they didn't provide any invoice/paper of repairement. They say they repaired at Nissan Service Centre, when I contacted Nissan Service Centre, the statement was wrong. They simply charged without repair. The damage is very minor on rear bumber. Complete replacement of rear bumber will not cost more than QAR.1000/-.

Please note even for full insuracne all the insurance companies charging 500 to 1000 Riyals for own damage, if it is not your mistake you dont need to pay any money to car rental company if it is your mistake you have to pay the resonable repairing cost and their missing days cost in the garrage. Anyway for a small bumber repair 300-400 is normal if someone reparing less than this wait for couple of months and you can see the paint is fading and bulging, they use duplicate paint. Always do in a trusted garage not in any garage.

It is better to negotiate with the rental company and settle with them. If you are taking it to the repair shop, you have to bear the rental charges for the period it remains there rite ? If u go through the insurance process, it will still cost you more...

As for your first question, yes there is a deductible in full insurance cover if it is your fault.

Second, the repair might cost 300 riyals but these rent a car people will charge more because they loose time and effort in doing the repair.

Try to deal with them in a better way and get some discount on the repair.

If the paint is not damaged from this dented spot, you can go to Smart Repair located in the industrial area street no. 2 close to Qatar Printing Press. They charged me 90 rials only to fix a dent on my car without having to repaint it and that takes only an hour. Contact 4503390 Mr. Emmar or Wassam. I can supply you the location sketch if you PM me your email ID.
