What is the driving test really about?

My maid and her husband are both from Sri Lanka.. he just got here a few months ago and is trying to get a driving license. He took the required classes and has attempted the test twice.. and failed both times. He is very discouraged and is unsure what to do as he doesn't want to keep trying without knowing what is going on. Does anyone have any advice/experience?

Its not that difficult. Just he needs to keep rules in his mind. I know a lot of person took driving license with test even without taking the course. He has to keep in his mind what the driving trainers are saying; about mirrors especially.
