What will happen if I get caught on the Road with my Quad Bike? [Really need help]

I can't find any laws online so I have no idea how the ATV on public road rules are in Qatar! Could someone inform me on how this works? I live in the Pearl and I plan on buying a Yamaha Banshee 350 (YFZ350) and this will affect my choice to buy it or not.

If i ride it on the road in The Pearl and i get caught by the security ,coz i never saw cops inside The Pearl, what will happen? Of course I won't be driving like crazy , just going to Shops and Friend's house, and of course I will be wearing the helmet and the proper safety equipment.

I keep on seeing these 2 guys that are always riding their little motorbikes (like maybe 1/2 meter or 3-4 feet) on the roads in The Pearl and I don't think they ever got stopped by the security coz if they did I wouldn't see them so often!

I have also seen some guys riding their Quads on the big public roads like Salwa Road etc and they speed like hell,i even saw one who was doing 2 wheeler on the roundabout !!

Sorry for making this long but I need a clear answer please!

Can I ride my quad on public roads?

- Thank You
- Great Regards

Look , I came here to know about the LAWS OF ATV's in Qatar, I didn't ask you for your damn opinion. In some states of the USA you can ride your ATV on the road AND HIGHWAY with only Quad License , and I'm sure you can here too with the proper License.Since when are they hazardous ? When the idiots are riding ok i'll agree ! anyways I don't want argue with someone, don't you have other things to do old lady?

Learn some respect,I asked the question in good way so you should've too --'

What was mean and what was unclear? You're not licensed, registered, or insured - all are legal requirements to operate any motorized vehicles on the roads here and in most of the world?

Is it mean to report someone who is breaking the law and creating a hazard?

If you're going to do whatever you want to do anyways, why bother asking the police what the law is?

Thanks for the long and useful answers! A stupid answer though (maryc) --'

Why many of you gotta be mean/dumb? Get over it,I like to have fun and if you don't,i literally don't give shit so f* off!!

Honestly,I'll do what I want , i'll check with the Police first though.

If I see you on the road anywhere, I will call the police and report you. You are not registered, you are not insured, and you have made no mention of even having any type of driving license.

As such, you are a financial menace to me as well as a physical hazard.

Walk, get a taxi, or get a properly licensed or registered vehicle.

A lot of factors to consider riding your quad on the road. Their not made to be used in the highways. Also you need to have it registered with traffic dept. There was a law which requires all vehicles having a displacement of 50cc & above to be registered. At first everyone was following, however at the moment, it's in your own risk to ride it. Full action of the law will be applied once you get caught. Pay the fine. The Pearl might be private, however when you do get involve in an accident, that's the time police will be in the picture, all sorts of question will queried and first is your driving license, registration & insurance for the quad. So, ask your self, is it worth to have all the hassles associated with it?

It is illegal. End of story. Do people still do it? Of course, but the answer to your question is that it's illegal. I can't imagine the Pearl being too happy with people riding them on their high class roadways.

I have seen you asking this same questions for a few times now.

The best answer (at least from me) is as follows: GO to the nearest Traffic Police office or station and ask for details on using a Quad Bike in the city area and its implications if caught; that way you are sure to get first hand information and not to rely on a public forum that could take a few days to come back with some answers.

Regards!!
