What's the latest on converting GCC driving license?

Hi,

Firstly, I've used the search box and I know that a lot of posts have been made on converting driving licenses.

I have seen conflicting views on whether or not a valid driving license from a GCC country can be exchanged for a Qatar driving license WITHOUT DRIVING TEST.

Some say that the rule has changed, and we can no longer exchange a GCC driving license in Qatar. Is this true?

I want to hear from people who have recently exchanged a GCC license for a Qatari one (in the recent few months).
