I believe people do help here, especially Qatari's.

The other day, I parked my car outside a car accessories' shop in Gharaffa area. I put on my four intermittent lights to avoid any service road accidents and one Qatari fellow pulled over and offered help thinking I had a problem with my car.

Experience here taught me that they DO help when you have problems.

Don't expect help from women though as its not safe for them to stop and offer assistance.

Maybe expatriates don't. Qataris do! At least, that is my experience over the last 15 years here.

Car help

When I ran over some construction debris and blew out a car tire, 3 other cars stopped to help me. People DO help each other here.
