Qatar Art Enthusiasts - vision for this forum

Regarding my recent email to all of you on your ambitions for our forum, and with the permission of one art enthusiast, I am publishing excerpts of his email to me. I find this email very passionate about art and does encompass all our ambitions:

QÜOTE:
“Congratulations in accord to the 200 member completion. Strength in this group should not feel like we have filled this group with numbers only but instead are present for sharing, developing different skills. Exchange of skills and Artist Exhibitions are important to streamline this into a great forum.
I joined this group through Qatar Living because I saw that Qatar did not have an animation style of its own. I wanted to spread the awareness that the Art is dying in this 'seek for wealth, invest wealth, make more wealth' mode of our world.

Suggestions:
Lets distinguish .. or divide the group into skills .. or the genre of what our group members are involved with. So we can divide them into the respective groups .. those with multiple skills we can deal with evenly in each group. Forums are stronger with different categories to provide to the public/next members
* Group up .. and meet at a cafe …..
* Organize workshops .. I can bet there are more than 25 professionals that we can utilize .. plus the cash that comes in can be used to invest in a club/place for all of us to come together ... establishing the forum into an international level just as they do it in France .. a place to sit in .. 1 hired chef and staff to provide some excellent 'bite to eat' for the members whenever we meet .. the group would also have many musicians among us .. a light gig (2 or 3 songs: 15 min ) will liven up the place and then group proceeds to workshops/ anything else .. heh .. this is just a dream i feel we can see through if we all unite together ( of course this dream would include total commitment . and i mean TOTAL COMMITMENT )

* Sure there are some available community workshops, but they are just committed to software teaching courses .. that is not what art is about. I felt anger whenever I saw these kind of ads in the newspapers .. well partly because those of us who have art degrees went through a lot of really hard work, drawing up to 250 pages a day over portrait study, human anatomy classes, figure lines classes .. but in the end it was the satisfaction of gaining a skill properly .. not how they do now .. teach people figure classes on a graphic tablet with the pen. :-/
* My greatest Dream through this group in Qatar : Imagine the profoundness of this group setting up the standards for Art design. Thou some of us love certain genre of style. In the end the true artist can look into himself and see the want of a new level to put up. Personally : For now I'm living in Qatar. As an animator and graphic designer, I want o give something back to Qatar in a field it is slowly depending on markets elsewhere. Qatar will recognize that there is great talent under it’s wings. We have that .. that availability of skills is with us. Lets create a standard that will go into books and history with words like : "from a small Art Enthusiasts group in Qatar came out a design that the world wants to scream about ! :)
I know this is a long mail. but since I feel we have a potential to see this through I thought well .. I might as well vent out all my feelings about what I want to do in Qatar about Art. :)”
