The abandoning of arguments
Some very good reminders for all Muslims posting here in QL this Ramadhan (and if Non Muslims too can benefit from any of these words then,InnalHamdulillah, all the better):
Allah the Almighty says in the Quran: "And of mankind there is he whose speech may please you (O Muhammad ), in this worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to that which is in his heart, yet he is the most quarrelsome of the opponents" - Surah Baqarah:204
Narrated Aisha(May Allah be pleased with her):The Prophet (Peace be upon Him) said "The most hated person to Allah is the one who is the most quarrelsome of opponents" -Sahih Al Bukhari Vol.3 Hadith No.637
Narrated Abu Umamah(May Allah be pleased with him): Allah's Messenger(Peace be upon Him) said "I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even if he is joking; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners.”
May Allah guide us all to acquiring the best of manners in all aspects of our lives and not just in the month of Ramadhan alone, but for every single day and night until we meet our Lord..Aameen!
