Assalaamu alaikum ladies!

I'm new to Doha and would really like to meet and socialize with other Muslim ladies. Based on a weekly halaqa group that I used to attend in Cairo, I would like to propose that we meet once weekly in the evenings (at either the home of a participant or somewhere else around town) to socialize and participate in an interactive English language halaqa i.e. one sister each week agrees to present a short lecture on an Islamic topic that she has researched. Everyone is welcome to ask questions and contribute to the discussion. Also, we can pray Maghrib together and have tea and coffee afterwards..sweets not bad either ;). Also, children would be welcome.

Let me know what you think. If you are interested, let me here your suggestions.

Also, in a few days, I will have a yahoo groups up for this and will post a link here.
