I'm trying to understand the situation in Qatar....

I'm not in Qatar, nor am I Nigerian...but the love of my life has just arrived in Doha to find work and to build a life for us. He's had quite a struggle in the 2 days since his arrival, no thanks to all the robbery at the Lagos airport and all the pay offs at the checkpoints he was forced to make....it makes my blood boil really.

Anyway, I want to understand better the situation for those of you who have made the trip and are trying to do the same thing for your family. What advice can you give? He is a Civil Engineer by trade.
