Education Allowance in Contract
Hi ALL, I've accepted a job offer for Aspire Zone Foundation. My concern is this....Is it normal that the Education allowance noted on the contract is NOT given to you directly every month? Instead you will submit an invoice to the employer from the child school and they will be the one to pay the tuition? If this is the case I might as well find a good school to maximize the allowable education allowance right? I would appreciate any response. Thank you in advance.

Yes Aspire Zone policy is to pay on invoice or receipt from the school upto an agreed limit, irrespective of nationality. It is not paid monthly, so you cannot make extra cash from unspent education allowance.
Yes, the education allowance is given by giving the invoice in......they will pay the amount up to a certain limit....you can't get the whole amount and cash in if the school fees are less than the allowed amount...it doesn't work like that....
hmmm I never thought of asking that limitations in community school. They just note an ammount per year. Thank you for that information, I still have time to check with them.
Usually, the company gives a 100% tuition fee support for the community school and with a max limit for non community.. For example that you are a Filipino, your community school is, of course, the 2 Philippine Schools here in Doha.. If you choose not the Philippine School, it is not 100% supported.. But, better check it with your company..
It all depends on the company and whatever they pleases. Sometimes it goes to your salary directly and at times, you have to submit a supporting documents to be able to claim the money.
Other companies has set a limit on the expenses, you have to be aware of this because, while it is good to bring your children to good school because of the benefit, it may boomerang to you because the company may have set a limitation on the education of your children
