I'm moving to Qatar to teach music, and am wondering what kind of Christian churches may exist in Doha.

I believe the proper terminology will be a "Place of Wordship". To share the word of their "Holy book" in common harmony.

Terminology of Churches, Synagogues and Mosques is a place of Wordship. Their habitat so their followers could congregate to wordship their God words.

Sects are the ones who share their own ideology of religion together as a group different from each other religions.

Enough of theology, I had enough of it in my life. Even the wordship could be translate in many ways

There is a Catholic church in place, can't pronounce the name of the street.

Pentecostal and baptist meeting do happen in private.

There is no persecution in Qatar. You have freedom to assembled in relationship to your God.

I will give you the name and location later on today.

I'm sorry, but do you mean sects?

Anyway, this is news info "The emir has donated land to Anglicans, Copts, Catholics, Orthodox and Protestants to build their own churches.

Although Islam is the majority religion, the country has some 60,000 Catholic immigrants, especially from the Philippines, Palestine, Lebanon, and India."

(That's from 2004 so you know that numbers must have increased significantly)

You may not find full grown churches, but you may find church converted areas. (The first Church of Qatar started construction in 2006 and was a symbol of religious diversity)
