Shared church...

I am not sure how this will be done but I remembered my visit to one of the old US Aircraft Carriers.

They have a big room shared by all faiths, when we entered it was a catholic chapel complete with icons.

They showed us that when other Christian denominations would use it, the wall would rotate to reveal just a hanging cross on the other side of the wall. If it were other religion or denomination,  the cross was removed, altar was folded and replaced with a podium.

I guess they have to make do with little space.

I wonder if it would be that way with shared centers.

Giving approval for church is similar to Mandir in Islam but Giving church approval is not based on Islamic/ or non Islamic logic.Logically if you give approval for church u should give for Mandir also because a good number of expat populations are Hindus also here in Qatar. If u is following Dubai then also there is mandir……

I am quiet sure Hindus will not get approval for Mandir as they are not from America?

The Church City will have 6 community centers (as how it is being named on the construction signages).

The Catholic Church, an Anglican church, a Coptic church, a Greek Orthodox, an inter-denominational Christian center (shared christian center) and a center that will be shared by 11 Indian churches (not mentioned what are those).

So I think you will not have your own temple but will have to share it with others.

If the government can allow churches same rule should apply for temples also.

I dont think so, Islam forbids any of those relegion that doesnt consider Allah

as the god. Christians are the followers of one of Allah's books hence it is ok

to have churches.

It's always the small things that make big differences.

No need...we worship sun also as a god. We can just look up and pray (not in the summer afternoons )
