Hey Guys,
I'm still new in this forum. Just got an offer to work at Doha for a tax-free salary USD5000/month.
Other benefits include hard furnished accommodation provided by the company, plus 50% of school fees for children paid by company, Medical card for state medical facilities and also monthly utilities allowance of QAR400. As part of that the company is also giving installation and repatriation tickets for post holder, spouse and children under 18 with a limited allowance for freight since hard furnishing is supplied and one return leave ticket for post holder, spouse and children under 18 to place of recruitment.
I'm just little bit worry about the take home salary..
Is it enough to live in Doha with my wife and my 4 children. Another difficult part is my wife have to live her job at our home country.. Appreciate comments from you guys.. Thank you

i think the offer is okay. did they say if there is a chance for salary reviews and when it can commence? e.g. could it be that QAR5,000 is just a starting offer (in case you're under probation for a few months and all...)

I think you've got a good offer. You can accept it. Your wife also will get a job with reasonably good salary.

If your children are in school the fees here can be very high. As your offer only includes 50% of the fees, you may be paying a lot out of pocket. You may want to try to negotiate with them to get a better deal as far as what they cover for schooling.

its okay...you wont get much to save...

just compare what you and your wife earning together in your home country and how much you are saving.

If you are a family of six…..living cost will be around 10K riyals...then you will get 8.5K left...

If your wife is qualified and experienced she can also get a job here….then it will be fine..

you will survive definitely here. It's just how much you want to save is the question.
