Laundry / Dry Cleaning Services
Our family is moving to Doha from South Africa next month. If we are given a semi-furnished home will there be washing machine included? If not, are there laundry services readily available (wash, dry, iron) and approximately how much does a load cost in QAR?
Also are there many Dry-Cleaners in Doha?

Generaly if a place is semi furnished it includes all white goods. (fridge, stove, oven,microwave, washing machine) However there are lots of laundries (not like SA) you send your laundry in and it is washed and ironed. (although you can arrange for ironing only) the cost varies between QR3-QR6 per item depending on the quantity and type of garment. You can also negotiate to have it picked up and dropped off. Generally the service is quite good and you get back what you have sent in all nicely wrapped up and on hangers. Hope this helps
Wash, Dry, Iron of 1 shirt is QR3 if you shop around - Rayyan Laundry put their price up to QR4 - I don't use them any more ;O)
my family is from the Philippines and my husband is employed at RASGAS. we're given a flat which is also semi-furnished and almost all kitchen appliances are provided plus the washing machine and dryer. for bedrooms, cabinets/wardrobe are also available so we bought only the dining table, sofa/center table and beds. and if you want to buy cheaper furnitures, you may opt to purchase at the Souq because prices at the mall are usually more expensive.
