Suspending Diplomatic relations with Israel!!

Why would you request the Government of Jordan to Suspend Diplomatic and Political relations with Israel and to close Embassies?

While the Israeli Attack is still on, destroying anything they face on the land of Gaza, killing children, women, and all kinds of civilians regardless their religion, nationality nor sex, destroying houses, organizations and all constructions! while the war is still on, the Arab world still insists on the need to suspend all diplomatic and political relations with Israel!!

Especially in Jordan, where most of the people are requesting the government to kick the Israeli Ambassador out of Amman, and to request the Jordanian Ambassador to leave Israel back to Amman! even most of... Read More

Depends on your perception of history doesn't it. Sadat was despised by most Arabs because they believed he should have unified Arabs and with Egypt's armed forces, used the threat of force to bring Israel to the bargaining table. instead he signed a peace deal with Israel.

He was a tyrant and used jailed opponents. Most Egyptians turned against him.

His killers were identified as members of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad.

What a great President Anwar Sadat was. He is sorely missed. He was a genius and the damn Iranians killed him.

If Arabs followed him back in 1978 things would have been more peaceful.

EU (Good FRIENDS / supporters sitting in US Senate & many allies EU nations) delegations by giving ultimatum warnings to ISRAEL to stop this massacre immediately or ready to face international community sanctions (boycott)or retaliation!

Similary what US, UK and UN has done with IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN and IRAN recently apply same to ISRAEL..

Send Arab community delegation to discontinue diplomatic relationship with Israel, stop this mass killing of innocents otherwise ready to face the aftermath.

I personally feels Israel will continue to fulfil their ambition to clean the palestine region from the world map prior Obama takes over presidential post and CHANGE US foreign policy by Stop supporting ISRAEL!!!

yes heero your right(very logical), as you can see US and UK are handling things quite well, their interventions have brought about world peace for many years so far. Heres an idea, let them sort things out for themselves and let UK and US sort out their own problems, this way no one can be blamed for each others problems, but oh wait, then there wont be any wars or any money to be made.

I think America and the UK should pull out and the let the Arabs/ Muslims deal with a religous.geographical/cultural problem.

That's another problem. The Arabs cannot handle things by themselves without them. They're not used to forming a government on their own without the studies and systems provided by the US and the UK. And by their learning capabilities and lack of eagerness to learn as much as a double-sided opinion or just plain science or mathematics, it'll take years before they can stand on their own in spite of every modern technology we introduce in this Middle Eastern land.

But OK. It's a deal!

Like what rani84jor mentioned here:

"""King Abdullah is giving commands to bring injured Palestinians to Jordanian Hospitals!

some are already here now"""

And why should he send his army towards Israel? Dont you think he has his own people to protect too? Don't you realize that there are Jordanians wants peace and not war? His Majesty is just playing neutral which he has to be in the world of politics, in my opinion. But, if those people were arrested and been stopped, I think because he care for them and for their safety too. And if he wants to help and support Palestine, it shouldn't be in terms of army or weapons, but in the forms of basic needs like medical aid! I repeat, that's what the Palestinian victims need most right now "BASIC NEEDS".

Btw, Jordan has sheltered alot of Palestinian refugees since ages and even granted them citizenship and passport. Correct me if I'm wrong here?

Kamran, what is it with you, stop harrassing Scarlett over US politics. Shes no more responsible for the US actions, than we are for the silence of the Arab leaders who are watching the Palestinians dying in front of our eyes. IF you want to get technical its up to the Arab Leaders to support their brothers and sisters. The US and Israel have made their political views on this issue clear, now if the Arab leaders even remotely cared, something can be done. The simple fact is they dont, they all have their own interests. Instead of taunting scarlett why dont you put your efforts into something more productive, theres lots of attempted actions to stop this massacre. We are all upset over this, but insulting each other and holding individuals responsible for things we cannot control is just plain stupid. suspend the diplomatic relations with israel is non sense. i mean now the most important thing is to stop everything, guys. there are already 380 palestinians have been killed and 4 israelis. So...u can see from this amount which one is stronger than the other one. But, at least for israel don`t block any aid from other country to Gaza. because now they`re blocking it and nobody can`t get the aid. The people is suffering.

And all the world blame Hamas, yea rite!

And israel insist that they target only for Hamas, unbelieveable!

And the civilians are suffering

i agree that for the time being, what's important is to be able to send relief goods... people need medicines, children need a LOT of relief goods. if we can't help in their war, countries should be able to help in relief. the way Red Cross is. they dont take any sides. all they want is to help victims of war. Why can't we do that in Gaza! it's so unnerving and sad....

Which Jordanian action would help the palestinians more?

Doing nothing.

Suspending diplomatic relations.

Agreeing with Israel to send relief supplies.

Less border control, allow anybody to cross-in from Iraq, and cross-out to Israel.

Declaring war on Israel and start sending the troops.

Agreeing with Syria to do both of the above.

probably the third?

Suspending diplomatic relations is about as pointless as the UN issuing 'strongly worded statements' to condemn something.

It's just diplomatic procrastination in the hope that public sentiment will override the need for actual intervention.
