Hi
Hubby is in Qatar at the moment and managed to get a pay as you go mobile card. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what the cheapest way is for us to talk to each other. We spent £23 on a 10minute call and at that rate we'd be broke before we get there!

I know in the UK you get calling cards etc that offers lower call rates than the normal operators but with Qtel currently being the only operator...are there any possibilities of that?

We cant skype yet as he hasnt got a laptop there yet.

You may configure linksys PAP2 Device, where u can connect a normal phone to make international calls very very cheap, offcourse you need internet access.

Perhaps you could install Skype on your computer and call his mobile? For years my husband and I could only call one way to the Gulf (him to me in the US.)

well in qatar there are some shops over here which offer a cheap calling although ur husband have to go to these shop to call u it is cheaper.
